6&23

So much happens in a month now it's hard to decide what to write down and where to start...
Elsa is growing up way too fast. She is such a hoot to be around and makes us laugh every day!
Like every child, she learns by example...

Elsa loves watching Baby Signing Time. I know I'm a horrible mother for putting my child in front of a movie to learn things but she likes it and is more open to learning more signs that I show her that aren't shown on the video. It has a food segment and she has wanted to try foods she hasn't wanted to try before as well.
She started saying sentences. A few of her favorites are "Mommy, a doing?" "That's mine/Elsa's/mommy's/daddy's/baby's" "I Wuv Ooo" and "let's go" as she grabs her purse and puts on mommy's shoes. Elsa can now sing a large percent of the words to her favorite songs, Twinkle twinkle, Old McDonald, I am a Child of God, The Wheels on the Bus, Do as I'm Doing. Elsa can count to ten but often has a number or two missing.
My cutie pie!
Elsa loves books!
She loves reading books with her brother.

Reading scriptures together as a family!
If you want to watch more of Elsa reading scriptures here is another and another and another.

At the beginning of the year we started a grateful journal. Every night we write down one thing that we are grateful for. Elsa really has caught on to it. Now randomly in the middle of the day she'll say something she is grateful for. These moments you really feel proud to be a parent.
Elsa is grateful for many things!!
"Boobs" are breast pads and she had just fetched me one... I am very grateful for them. She also calls boots "boops" which sound just he same.
Here's another if you'd like.

Elsa loves her baby brother more and more! It is so easy to get a picture of the two together because she is always "Sit next baby".

I was just trying to get baby in his Mr. Rogers sweater but Elsa makes it even sweeter!

Blake learned to rollover on his own. Well... there is always a little help from his sister.

Baby loves Elsa! He'll just be looking at her and start crack up laughing. Hopefully a sign of all the fun that is to come.
He is such a handsome boy! Always smiling!
Blake had his 6 month well check this last week:
15 lbs 15 oz (It's all in his thighs)
26 inches
His fine motor skills are really developing. He's at the lovin my feet stage. He loves to talk: dadas, coos, gaas, lots of laughing and blowing raspberries.

He is such sweet boy! I'm so glade he is apart of our family.

Other developments in our family:
Daddy Blake got a job at Premier Granite and Marble and quite Sears Auto. We are still applying for internships for this summer. Blake has gotten some interest and has an interview with Big D Construction which is a large company here in Utah but a lot of the companies are getting summer projects quoted now so after all that they will be looking for interns. We'll keep you posted if anything official happens.
I'm so blessed to have an amazing husband that works so hard for us.

Five & Twenty-two

Well... I'm not sure where to start since it's been so long.
At the beginning of months Five and Twenty-two we went to visit family in Missouri... unfortunately I've been awful at remembering to take pictures and only have three. I'm hoping somebody else did a better job and maybe I can steel some...
Elsa had a blast playing with Sawyer, Bella, Chloe, Pepper, Anna, and Adiline. Since we've been home she asks for one of them daily.
Little Blake loved meeting all of his aunts and uncles and especially his little boy cousins!

We went to visit Duncan! Look at our family grow!

The 15 hour drive home went by pretty smoothly. Elsa was a good sport and liked snuggling up to take a nap.

Baby Blake is getting so big! He is such a laid back little dude I sometimes forget he's here.

He's got Grandma Thackeray's tongue.

He's got the biggest smiles and shares them with everyone!

I love his laughs!!

Napping with daddy. He's such a good sleeper and all you have to do is give him his soft blanket and he's out.

Elsa is our little princess. She could watch princesses all day long if I let her. She loves necklaces, bracelets and shoes. She is such little girl and is already going through the mood swings!
One minute she's as happy as can be...
The next minute...
She is such a busy body. She wants to be everywhere and on everyone!
Say cheese!

Everyday is fun with these two! I just hope I can be a good enough mother for them. They truly are such sweet babies and I know I couldn't thank God enough for sending them to our family and letting us raise them.
