Blake's Motor Cycle Withdrawals...

Two weeks into our living in Utah Blake comes home with a scooter...
He rode it as much as the cold weather permitted him, mostly stashing it at Corban and Teneill's place and driving the few blocks to campus from there and then to his classes since you get up front parking with scooters and bikes. Parking wasn't the only pro to having this extra addition to Blake's list of vehicles he has owned. Compared to driving his truck, it saved him $20 in gas a week when he would drive it from Pleasant Grove, where we live, to Provo, where he goes to school. I was quite impressed how much he could "down-grade" from the Suzuki GSX-R 600, (Tim the Toolman grunt) which shuts off at 176 MPH and unfortunately Blake knows this for a fact...
Isn't he so cute on this little scooter that can't get over 45 MPH?!
My favorite is the helmet that doesn't cover half of his face!!
(Can't you hear the tinkling of fairies?)

Well, it lasted 2 months
and if you know Blake that is actually a long time to own a vehicle.
He sold the scooter for 3x more than he bought it for and came home with
his MANHOOD!!
1982 Yamaha Virago 750

I won't mention that I had to pick him up off the side of road because
he ran out of gas.

It needed some work and polished up real nice!!
Blake had a lot of fun getting his hands dirty to get it running smooth!
Did I mention he sold the scooter for $650 and bought the bike for $500?
Because of that I can't complain!
Unless Blake can trade the bike for a house he might just keep it...
we'll see!

Utah

I tried doing one big update but things kept changing and then I would have to change it so I'll try doing one thing at a time.

Hopefully everybody knows Blake and I moved to Utah!!! We are living with Great Uncle Jim (Grandma Elsie's brother) and Aunt Ramona! The nicest people you'll ever meet. They are so wonderful to let us live in their basement apartment and we are so grateful for them!!

The second week we were here a water pipe broke in our apartment and flooded the hallway and the bathroom! EEK! Not that we didn't like the lime green (moldy cheese green as Ramona puts it) carpet in the hallway and dinning room and pink carpet in the bathroom, it was time to get ride of it!
Especially when it was smelling like moldy cheese!!

Ramona, about two weeks after the flood came down to see how the
laminate flooring that her daughter had given her would look, decided she liked it and started ripping up carpet herself. That night we had all the carpet out and started laying the first pieces of laminate!!

These pictures where quickly taken to show what it looked like before.
As you can see almost everything is moved out!!

As sad as we were to see the green carpet gone....

We REALLY like the new look!!The bright yellow stayed but I wish I had taken a picture of
the lanolium... you really would see how beautiful this picture is!
Just imagine pink carpet to match the roses on the wall...
Just look at what a new floor and a fresh coat of paint can do!!
I love it!!
